A vault deposit buys shares in a trading account. On Parcl V4, a manager trades the pooled capital in housing-index markets. Your shares represent your stake in that account. A simple example, before fees: - A $1,000 deposit at $2 per share buys 500 shares. - At $2.20 per share, those shares are worth $1,100. - At $1.80 per share, they’re worth $900. In each case, you still hold 500 shares. The account’s trading results change the net asset value (NAV) per share. The manager holds shares too and must retain at least 5% of the vault. Their capital shares in the gains and losses alongside yours. Check the vault’s fees and withdrawal terms before depositing.
