Metaplex IS the Solana NFT standard. Token Metadata, Bubblegum (compressed NFTs), Core, and Candy Machine are the building blocks behind almost every NFT ever minted on Solana, and cNFTs make multi-million NFT drops possible at fractions of a cent each. The MPLX token governs the protocol.
